Description
The Margarette Golding rose is a strong, verdurous plant laden with mid-green glossy foliage that almost appears polished under sunlight. With a robust and radiant habit, the plants, even at their pre-flowering stage are themselves a delight to observe.
Through late May and early June enjoy the emergence of plentiful delicately cupped, butter yellow flowers, with repeat performances later in the summer and autumn. The colour of the blooms is a big attraction for bees. And access to exposed pollen as the stamens become fully revealed, means this rose will literally be buzzing with activity. Blooms produce a delicate, spicy perfume which just adds to its long list of attributes.
Suitable for beds and borders. Or, plant several in a row 90cm apart to create a vibrant hedge growing up to 120cm tall.
The Margarette Golding Rose has been developed by Harkness to celebrate the Centenary of Inner Wheel and its founder member Margarette Golding. Inner Wheel is one of the largest women's voluntary service organisations in the world, with more than 9,000 members in Great Britain and Ireland, and more than 120,000 members across the globe.
For every rose sold, we are proud to donate £2.50 to The Inner Wheel (Registered Charity no. 1041468).
Supplied as a bare root rose ready for planting.
