Description
We are excited to bring to you 'The England Rugby Rose'! This stunning red rose variety bred by Harkness Roses has been produced exclusively for the RFU to mark the 150th anniversary of English Rugby.
This beautiful Hybrid Tea variety boasts a fresh fragrance and large blooms in a striking deep red shade. Long straight stems make this rose a delight for cutting. It forms a compact shrub with dark green and disease-resistant foliage. A strong and bushy habit ensures flowers are held up high in a lively manner.
Fantastically versatile, this rose will look cheery whether planted in beds, borders, or large patio containers. A very healthy variety that is very easy to grow.
We are proud to donate £2.50 from the sale of each rose to the RFU Injured Players Foundation, which provides support to rugby players who sustain catastrophic spinal cord injury or traumatic brain injury while playing the game. The rose is an official registered trademark of the Rugby Football Union.
Supplied freshly in a 3L pot, ready to be planted out. Please note at certain times of the year this variety may be supplied in a 4L pot.
We always endeavour to provide beautifully formed plants; however, our roses will naturally start to lose their leaves from October to prepare for the colder months. Do not worry though, as they will flourish once again with leaves and buds in the spring. Please, make sure you consider the season when purchasing our remarkable roses for yourself or loved ones.
