Description
The ‘Sense and Sensibility’ rose is an elegant climbing variety that will add beauty and structure to almost any garden. A truly joyous and people-pleasing plant that shines on remarkable green and densely packed leaves in spring, with droves of tiny and perfectly formed blush pink buds.
Moving into summer, a succession of flowers seem to endlessly appear in swathes of blooms, right through to the first frosts of the year. Buds open to pearly white coloured flowers packed with petals, giving the eye-catching appearance of little pom poms dancing around on the breeze.
The sheer quantity of flowers makes this rose a magnet for pollinating insects, in particular hoverflies. Their presence on and around the plant only adds to the visual experience. This beautiful rose would be happy scrambling up a fence, or the front of a house. Alternatively, plant in a large container and allow it to cover an obelisk for a free standing, structural feature.
This forms part of the Jane Austen Collection of roses, which has been established to celebrate the works of the iconic British novelist. We are proud to donate £2.50 from the sale of each rose to Jane Austen’s House. Charity No 1156458
Supplied freshly in a 3L pot, ready to be planted out. Please note at certain times of the year this variety may be supplied in a 4L pot.
We always endeavour to provide beautifully formed plants; however, our roses will naturally start to lose their leaves from October to prepare for the colder months. Do not worry though, as they will flourish once again with leaves and buds in the spring.
Please, make sure you consider the season when purchasing our remarkable roses for yourself or loved ones.
